Dr. Wassim Ahmad, a distinguished scholar in the realm of Information Security, earned his Ph.D. from Damascus University in 2012, solidifying his academic foundation. Currently serving as a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering at CIT, his instructional prowess spans Network Security, System Programming, Real-Time Systems, and programming languages like C, C++, Java, and Python, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of computer engineering and automation. Dr. Wassim’s dedication extends beyond academia, with a rich portfolio of research ranging from Honeypot appliances to blockchain-enabled degree verification systems. His dynamic approach to teaching aligns seamlessly with his professional experiences, creating an enriching educational environment for aspiring engineers.

Shkelzen Cakaj has received his BSc and MSc degrees from Pristina University in Kosovo. He has prepared his Master Thesis at Vienna Technical University. He was awarded a PhD in the area of satellite communications from Zagreb University, in January 2008. Later on, in 2009, as Fulbright scholar, he continued his postdoctoral research at NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) at Maryland, USA. He is the author of 66 papers published in worldwide conferences and journals; mostly IEEE. He also engaged as a reviewer for IEEE Communication Magazine, etc. His area of interest is the satellite ground station performance. In 2016 he was awarded as “Albanian ICT Researcher of the Year 2015”. He is promoted as Associate Professor, from Polytechnic University of Tirana.

Oriola Musa studied a Major in Economics and Management, Finance, and a Minor in Public Relations and Communication; completed Master Studies in Economic Analysis & Policy; graduated “Cum Laude” at IAMM University of Montpellier, France, a QS ranked University, with triple accreditation from EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA; completed another Master of Business Administration (MBA) at UET and obtained her PhD degree in Economics and Sustainable Development at UET. Her research interests are in the areas of Economic Growth, Circular Economy, Economic Sustainable Development, and Public Policy. She has published her work in research publications including the International Journal of Economics and Development Studies, Journal of Sustainable Economics and Management Studies.

Sokol Abazi graduated as Industrial Chemist in Albania, Tirana University in 1989. In 1997 he obtained his PhD from Fribourg University (Switzerland) in organic synthesis using radical chemistry. After a Postdoc in Total Synthesis of Natural Products at Oxford University in 1998, he worked for a couple of companies in the UK and Switzerland and then returned to Albania working as a Professor at Tirana University. Since 2015 he is a Full Professor at CIT, from 2020 he holds the Rector position. His research interests are mainly focused on natural products, organic synthesis, and supercritical fluid extraction (SFE). In the last decade, he has been working on the use of a modified “soxhlet-like” extraction technique using sub-critical CO2. Dr. Valbona Dhjaku is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in the field of Informatics. She earned her PhD from Tirana University’s Faculty of Natural Sciences in 2010, focusing on Interorganizational Systems and their impact on organizational flexibility. Over the years, Dr. Valbona has been instrumental in numerous projects, including the development of a Honeypots appliance and the implementation of Anomaly Detection using Machine Learning. She has also contributed significantly to areas like Internet Banking, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and more. Her research interests and publications span a wide range of topics, including E-government Services, File System Comparisons, Information Security in Wireless Networks, and Blockchain technology in the banking industry.

Denis Xheleku holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Software Engineering from the Canadian Institute of Technology. Currently, he serves as a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering within the same institution, where he imparts his extensive knowledge and expertise to aspiring engineers, as well as the director of the IT department. His research interests span a wide spectrum, encompassing subjects such as web design, networking, Android and iOS applications, as well as Linux.
