Excellent emergency dentist NHS clinic today Ealing London: Preserve jawbone health and facial appearance – Dental implants do more than just hold your artificial teeth. They prevent your facial esthetics from deteriorating after you’ve lost a tooth. Let’s dive a little deeper to see how that happens. Your tooth root is anchored into your jawbone, where it provides stimulation to maintain healthy bone tissue around it. When you lose a tooth, there is no longer any force being exerted on that part of the bone. As a result of lower levels of stress there, the body adapts by breaking down the bone tissue and resorbing some of the bone in that area. This is a natural consequence of tooth loss, and most of this bone loss happens during the first six months following a tooth extraction. Improves Your Appearance – One of the most obvious benefits of teeth whitening is the improvement in your overall appearance. Even if your teeth are straight and healthy, they can still become discolored over time due to factors like coffee, wine, tea, and aging. Teeth whitening can help reverse these effects, making your teeth appear younger and more vibrant. Many people are surprised at how much of a difference a whiter smile can make. It can brighten up your entire face, making you look more refreshed and even years younger. For those who want to enhance their appearance without invasive procedures, teeth whitening is a simple yet effective option.

A home tooth-whitening kit contains carbamide peroxide, a bleach that can remove both deep and surface stains and actually changes your natural tooth color. If you have coffee-stained teeth, a tooth-bleaching kit can help. With some kits, you apply a peroxide-based gel (with a small brush) to the surface of your teeth. In other kits, the gel is in a tray that molds to the teeth. The tray must be worn daily (for 30 to 45 minutes) for a week or more.
Advices for teeth whitening. While all sweetened drinks are bad for teeth, some energy and sports drinks may be worse, according to one study in General Dentistry. Researchers found that these drinks — as well as bottled lemonade — may erode tooth enamel after long-term use. The result is thin, translucent, discolored teeth. To prevent tooth erosion: Don’t sit and sip these drinks for a long time. Rinse your mouth with water when you finish drinking.
There’s also a rebound effect from teeth whitening, where teeth will relapse slightly in shade. You may be whitening your teeth and stop at a certain point once you’re happy with the results, but I would recommend going a bit beyond that because of the rebound effect. A study estimates that up to 50 percent of the effectiveness of bleaching products at a dental office may rebound within just a week. This is particularly true when you eat or drink staining foods or drinks in the first seven days. Read additional details on here.
See your hygienist twice a year. Having routine cleanings every six months helps to promote good oral health and a beautiful smile. When your cleanings are irregular, you can develop periodontal disease. This can cause unsightly swollen, receding, and bleeding gums. It’s also linked to health conditions like heart attack, stroke, diabetes, obesity, premature births, and sleep apnea. In addition to removing stain and tartar from your teeth, your dental hygienist will also screen for health conditions like high blood pressure and oral cancer. Because many health conditions manifest themselves in the mouth, your dentist and hygienist can make you aware of issues that you should follow up on with your doctor.
